There's something about poetry that saves me… ~ Martin Espada
The bird needs to get out of the cage door haha happy new year
Happy New Year, Pat!
At least the days are growing longer, even if somewhat imperceptibly!! Brighter days are coming! Nice use of metaphor, Mary. Happy New Year, my friend!
That's right Ginny. Thank you and Happy New Year!
That is very much the feeling of winter, I think--for me the bird is the sun, held in that cage of darkness and cold--but it's just part of the cycle--otherwise we would never appreciate freedom and warmth in the same way, right? Unless you are a Californian or something. ;_) Thanks for all your support over the last few years Mary, and for all the laughs. Happy New Year.
Yes Joy, that's exactly how I feel. You're welcome, but I must thank you for all your support and your thoughtful reads and helpful comments. I'm glad that I stumbled upon your blog and the Imaginary Garden which contains real toads: (withrealtoads.blogspot.com/) And Happy New Year to you too.
