Nomenclature, Sort of

What do we give with a name?
What power is held within a name?
And what of the names we give our gods?
With a name so sacred
none dare speak it,
or a name so intimate,
we wear it against our skin
familiar and sweet,
in naming
our gods we define
ourselves.
