Oops

Wise men say
pride goes before a fall
for pride is folly,
sent to trip
the haughty.

Wise men say
pride goes before a fall
and regret follows
in its wake.

Wise men say
pride goes before a fall.
But for me,
before a fall

there are usually
high heels and wine involved.

This is for G-Man at Friday Flash 55.

  2. LOL! Yeah, yeah. But I'll bet even with a prat fall, there's some pride left. Heck, get drunk enough and you might end up proud of having fallen well.

  7. That must be why I never wear them anymore. A good 55, Mary and I like the repetition. Seeing a lot of that these days. It's very effective.

  11. Our BBC News was showing a "high heels race" in Sydney (?). It was Formula One, I think, because the height and width of the heel were stipulated in the race rules and were checked by a guy with a measure. The winner won by a country mile. Maybe she hadn't been drinking?
I haven't worn my high heels in years, but after reading your LOL post I'll maybe give them another shot.
