Eternity by Mary Bach
Today
I cultivate the space
even though I do not yet know
what will
grow.
I spent the weekend at a retreat called Brush Wisdom. We learned about a type of Japanese calligraphy called Sosho as a vehicle for contemplative calm and peace. This is my stylized version of the eternity character.
To me it looks like " OM"...a great symbol in Hinduism representing space, god, eternity:)
ReplyDeleteThank you Vandana. It's not strictly like the Japanese symbol, but with this type of calligraphy it allows for some individual interpretation.
Deletesmiles...i like your little koan....we dont know what it will become...but we care for it....makes me think of how it is with kids...
ReplyDeleteYes, that's very true Brian. Kids and life in general.
DeleteJust have to wait and see what will come to be
ReplyDeleteExactly Pat.
DeleteMay it be goodness that grows the heartiest!
ReplyDeleteVery nice. I like the open ended mystery you have going on.
ReplyDeleteVery nice! I love it.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful, short and meaningful poem. I loved the character as well. Indeed, we sow and sow, but we don't know what'll come out of it.
ReplyDeleteGreetings from London.
Very nice :) I hope that peace and inspiration grow. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Ayala. Me too, especially inspiration!! I seem to be a bit short on that lately!
