Sunday Scribbling #265 - Cake

Sitting here beside myself,
Myself, I said to me
How and why and wherefore
Did this ever come to be?
I might be spoiled just a bit
I know that may be true,
But just between myself and me
Honestly, I just don’t see,
Why I can’t have my cake and eat it too!

This little piece is for the promp 'cake' from Sunday Scribblings.

  1. Why not eat the cake
That you worked so hard to make
As it is of your own design
So you should get first crack and everyone else should wait in line
    As always a nice read
I see your muse has continued to inspire at your feed

  8. I'm with you. I could never see the point of the saying "having the cake and eating it too" especially as I usually had a second slice!
