Magpie Tales #69

Steps spiral,
infinity curls
at my feet.
Chambered home
echoes of oceans in a
discrete universe

This poem is a form called Shadorma, which is 6-line syllabic poem of Spanish origin with a meter of 3/5/3/3/7/5.

Here is a second brief offering inspired by the prompt by Tess Kincade at Magpie Tales.

Steps
spiral through
translucent, sandy chambers

Infinity curls
back upon itself
to the timeless
center

  1. I'm loving these forms of writes and I love the Shadorma one! I can show off to the kids with them and gain points on Scrabble, too!

Anyhow Mary, I found your pieces thoroughly enjoyable. I'll look out for you again!

  4. Hmmm now you are hurting my head
But I like where it lead
I'm too much of a fool
    To follow such a rule
And a timeless center really rings true

  15. Mysterious imagery, very satisfying. Is that the poem or the form? I say the poem.
