Home

     Image from artbylindy.com

You are clever, practical;
straight walls and stout woodwork
blossom from your hands.
You set bright, shining tiles of desire
into a mosaic.

I see to the doors
and the shades.
Weaving words and light
with warm, cinnamon murmurs
I fashion the hearth.

Together we make our home.

  4. Here, two (sets of) hands definitely are better than one. I like the cinnamon. Any realtor can tell you, it evokes home like no other scent.

  8. ...'warm cinnamon murmurs' ... I'm reminded of why I use cinnamon sticks in my hot buttered rum, my hot apple cider and when I'm feeling really frisky, in my brandied hot chocolate.

  22. It isn't the structure that is making it, obviously. Can mine be a SoHo loft (smile)?
