I'm trying something new. Microfiction Monday. Write 140 characters or less about a picture that has been posted (although I suppose this is a mirocpoem). This week it's:
He felt as grey inside
as the fog that surrounded
him
as he waited at the bridge
with the anxious child
Very mysterious. I wonder what they were waiting for? :O)
ReplyDeleteThere's a good intro... obviously there's differing emotional content between the man and the child as they're waiting for... ? Nicely done, Mary!
ReplyDeleteI wonder what they were waiting for too...doesn't seem to be something happy, I think...as he felt 'grey inside'....
ReplyDeleteGreat imagery. Cheers~
Thanks all. Sorry, I'm not allowed to tell what they're waiting for...it's top secret!
ReplyDeletePoor little child. I hope all will be okay with them. :(

Hey, thanks Elizabeth!
ReplyDeleteFull of mystery. Excellent.
ReplyDeleteThank you Anthony!
ReplyDeleteWell written and VEEY mysterious. I also want more! :)
ReplyDeleteAh, that's the best complement. Thanks Peggy!
ReplyDeleteSounds like foreshadowing of a poignant tale.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by Vicki!
ReplyDeleteI'd like to know what they were waiting for. Does top secret mean you'll share that in a longer story someday?
ReplyDeleteHope you'll be joining in more MM.
Thanks Grandma! I'm not sure yet about a longer story about what they're waiting for...as they haven't yet shared that with me! Um...stay tuned I guess.
ReplyDeleteI will definately do more MM however, this was fun :o)
