Making Tracks

    Photo by Douglas Sailsbiry

My mind, my heart, my thoughts are racing;
it’s time to leave this land of lacking,
cause now it's clear, what I am facing.
My mind, my heart, my thoughts are racing
all night, awake, I spend it pacing.
With morning light to finish packing
my mind, my heart, my thoughts are racing.
It’s time to leave this land of lacking.

  1. Moving on necessary, but a bit painful. Great voice for the photo. Thank you so much for writing for the prompt!

  3. What a great way to use the tempo of the triolet. The cadence moves you along to leave what's lacking.

    What is lacking can well make things a bit confusing. But if the resolve is to finish packing in the morning then it must be done with lots of thinking
