No, Really

I don’t mind.
No, I’m fine
…and with so much to do.

So I got up and left, as if I believed you.

Izzy asked us to write something about a lie we could have told better.  So here are is a poem about a couple of liars for Real Toads

  1. Well captured. We sometimes do this to--and for--each other.

  2. That's just being economical with the truth . . . lol
My grandmother would be hopping up and down for she used to say:

"Be the matter what it may - always speak the truth!"

Did we take her advice? . . . . lol

  10. 'We always said that "The first liar doesn't stand a chance."
I sometimes use the one, "No, I’m fine" when I don't want to talk about my ails.

  11. You managed to tell of two bad lies in just a few lines.. Very clever - and yes I can see this happening.

  12. One story, two perspectives. I have been on both sides. Well captured, Mary. Makes us think twice when seeing it put like that in front of us.
