With Relish

I am not your sweetheart,
my love is savory,
there is a bite to it.
But oooh baby,
this is the spice of life.

With this poem I am really playing it again.  I have taken an old poem and heavily edited it to fit into Mama Zen’s request to have us write a Twitter Poem in one of her “Words Count” prompts.  And a Twitter Poem, despite the techy name, is just a poem brief enough to fall at or below Twitter's tweet limit of 140 characters.
Sorry, I forgot to link IGRT, where Margaret asked us to "Play it Again" by using a previous writing prompt.

Lucky Strike

I remember
gentle pressure of your lips.
Friction, spark, fire:
you ignite,
I burn.

But that’s past.
Turns out the brass ring
was only smoke.

A stale future
permeates my clothes and hair.

Ashes,ashes,we all fall down.

Another Triolet

I lower the shutters behind my eyes
so no one can see what’s missing,
blindly beguiled by a clever disguise.

I lower the shutters behind my eyes
and hold your attention between my thighs
with wine, cabaret and kissing.

I lower the shutters behind my eyes
so no one can see what’s missing.

This triolet is exactly 55 words, so I offer it to FF55 where G-man offers, and asks for 55 words about anything at all.  The triolet is a short poem of eight line with only two rhymes used throughout.  The first line is repeated in the fourth and seventh lines; the second line is repeated in the final line.  This gives a deceptively simple appearance: ABaAbAB, where capital letters indicate repeated lines.

Top 10 and Tangle

Top 10 Juvenile Comments I Feel Compelled to Inflict on You:

     1.  I had the strangest dream…
     2.   It’s raining men, and I slipped and fell in a big puddle
     3.  What happens when you REALLY have nothing to wear
     4.  This would be way more fun if I could still feel my legs
     5.  Who farted?
     6.  Aren't you glad you use Dial?  Don’t you wish everybody did?
     7.  Sw-e-e-e-e-t dreams
     8.  Yes, I AM the center of it all
     9.  Where’s Waldo?
     10. Careful, don’t mess up my hair!

Just in case you wanted to hear the song click here: It's Raining Men!

Sorry, I just had to get that out of my system.  Which is your favorite?  Do you have one of your own?  :o)
And now for something completely different:

 Tangle

There is more
than sex and death,
black and white

There is
the smooth, firm curve of grey,
with infinite points along
the cusp

This is where we live -
in the tangle,
amid agony that may
(at any moment)
reveal
bliss

On Time and Space

A fixed point
cannot be altered,
but with a wrinkle
of fabric
parallel lines intersect
between you and me

Secret Smile

Ohhhh Mona
you sweet, sweet thing;
who put that smile on your face?
Ermmm… right, that would be
Leo.
He put the smile on your face
and the twinkle in your eye,
with a turn of his wrist
and the soft tickle of
his well-placed brush stroke.
He is truly an old master.
